Origins

   I was born in Stockholm (Sweden) 1969 and grew up in Italy where my father worked at the Swedish Solar Telescope. This was relocated to the Canary Island of La Palma in 1979; at the same time  I passed the entrance examinations to the Adolf Fredrik School of Music, linked with the Conservatory.  I would also take private piano lessons but the total lack of chemistry with the teacher led me to  exlore the instrument on my own instead,  playing by ear and improvising and, from the age of 11, composing my own music. This is the path I have followed ever since.

La Palma

   In 1985 I moved to La Palma. As we did not have a piano at first I got a syntheziser instead, which allowed me to experiment with electronic music as well as getting involved with a variety of rock and pop bands. In the early 1990´s  icould resume the formal piano lessons again and eventually I took the ABRSM grade 8 exam.  Shortly afterwards my teacher left the island but thanks to the knowledge I got from her I have been able to continue  to study on my own. 

 

Professional activites

 In 1991 I debuted as a composer and pianist in the Teatro Chico in Santa Cruz de La Palma.  From the following year until the Covid-19 lockdown in 2020 I worked as a pianist at the hotel Hacienda San Jorge. From 2000 to lockdown I worked as a piano teacher for children, teenagers and adults, both privately as well as in an academy, with various town councils and with several neighbours´ associations.

Actuality

   At the moment my artistic carreer is based on three branches: solo piano, electronic music and rock band keyboards.
