Electronic music

Since eraly childhood I have been fascinated by sound and I would do all sorts of experiments with any object that had interesting sonorities. My adolescence coincided with the popularisation of the syntheziser  by bands and artists like Vangelis, Tangerine Dream, Jean Michel Jarre, Kitaro, Kraftwerk or Depeche Mode, who were all important influences and who shaped my way of understanding music.

I have always been conscient about the sounds of my neighborhood. My daily life in Stockholm was marked by the rumble and screeching of the subway, the hooting of ship horns, the ringing of churchbells and the incessant tick-tick-tick-tick from the impaired vision signals at the pedestrian crossings. The dark, pulsating drone of the propeller Fokker Friendships that took us from the international airport of Tenerife to little La Palma blended in my mind with the Indian ragas  we often listened to after home, a memory of my father´s sojourn in India as a child. Meanwhile, the soundtrack of my summer holidays on La Palma was pure Nature; the sea, crickets, clouds of crows, the whispering of the wind in the pine forest, the quiet dripping of some spring in the mountains.

Electronic music has allowed me to explore all these sonic universes. I don´t work by formulas and each piece is a new adventure that I never knows how it will end, a jorney to an unknown world.
